On the edge of the end of the world is wind borne sand
The story of worldly affairs is called missing someone
I retire my sword and hide away amongst ordinary folk in Dongli
A drifting cloud, a hovering stork and an old Buddhist temple

Post-horse, they are slaughtering each other in the Jiang Hu
It's all because they can't let go of the fame and fortune
How can people who have the kingdom in their hearts be pleased and unaffected
All I seek is to be with you until we have gray hair

The sword is unsheathed, the gratitudes and grudges are resolved, who smiles
All I seek at present is to hold you in my arms
The wind in the worldly tavern is like a blade, the rain shower falls, the drumbeat of karma
No matter who leads the Wulin with excellence, I will only bow for you
Past the desolate villages and wild bridges, looking for the ancient path beyond the noisy world
Far away from the hustle and bustle of the world, the willow catkin always floats together freely

Under the eaves the branches are slanted against the window frame
With you, we sit here and drink tea facing each other
I firmly record down your features using fine brush painting
I've started writing but not for literary pursuits

Under the lights, I sigh as your red face looks close to the sunset glow
I say fate is just like Zen meditation and not saying a word
Your tears are like pear blossoms scattered all over the world on top of the paper
